Looking east on the Columbia River

Music has been my form of artistic expression my entire life. But starting in 2018 I began to explore my attraction to colors and their connection to my love of the outdoors.

My husband Darren and I moved to Mosier in 2021 to be closer to children and grandchildren. Once we settled in our perfect house and community, I became enthralled with the breathtaking vistas in the Gorge, and the difference in colors, light, and weather from our previous home in California. Almost as soon as we unpacked, I started sketching and painting, experimenting with the colors and the emotions they elicited.

I love painting the scenery around Mosier, Mt. Hood and the Washington side of the Columbia River. The riverfront and farms around The Dalles have a special beauty of colors and shapes also. In addition, I enjoy painting birds and native plants.

My work has been sold at Hood River Stationers, The Columbia Gorge Discovery Center and The Dalles Workshop. I have sold and donated my paintings at various locaI events and have done commissioned work also. I have high quality giclee prints of several works.
